Situated in the vast plains of Alentejo near historical cities and Maranhão lake, is ideal for rest and nice bike rides, and meet one of the most beautiful areas of Portugal, its beautiful landscapes, its architecture and cuisine. Casa dos Condes was built by the Jesuits in the seventeenth century, after the expulsion of Portugal, belonged to a bishop and later was acquired by the current family, after recovering and
modernized, it was transformed into a cozy family-runned accommodation. The
house has 7 bedrooms separated by courtyards, balconies and corridors and a
lovely swimming pool set in a sawed 1 hectare

Mix trail of road and mountain biking, passes through the Serra de São Miguel viewpoint where is located the bullring and trough Sousel where you can visit the Misericórdia and Matriz churches. In the return you can pass by the Alamo Tower or not. Typical countryside of northern Alentejo plains pastures, olive groves, vineyards and montado.

RIDE 1 [Moderate]

Road route with about 35 km, passes through the Ervedal village where you can visit the suspension bridge and the Avis village where you can visit the Convent and the village center. In the return we recommend a passage the yacht club of Maranhão, passing through Vale de Freixo. The landscape is flat, very diverse, from olive trees to vineyards , sautéed with beautiful white or blue with yellow stripes houses.

RIDE 2 [Severe]

Road route with about 98 km. Passes by Casa Branca, Malarranha, Cabeção and Gameiro dam. You can return by the same route or go by Mora and Cano through the national road to Pavia, Malarranha and continue to follow the path first used through Casa Branca before arriving to Cano. Countryside typical of northern Alentejo, picturesque villages with white houses with color bands, and church towers lost in the vast plains of pastures, olive groves and montado.
